It's Official + a helpful business tip

I'd like to share a few things ... one is a something exciting I've done in my business and another is a networking tip I got from a webinar I listened to.

First ... I'm excited to announce that I have an official business name called RS Consulting! I've been issued a business certificate for the state of Massachusetts and its valid for 4 years.

I haven't changed anything in my business, I've just finally given it a name and official biz certificate.

It's now required in this state for several things such as opening up a business bank account or any trade shows or presentations you do for your business.

Moving on to the business networking tip:

I learned from listening to a BNI webinar called "One to Ones that Make You Money":

When you are meeting with a BNI member for a one to one, to ask him/her the question, "What specifically can I do in the next week for you that would generate a referral for you?"

(By the way, if you don't belong to a BNI, then just think of an entrepreneur you talk to or meet with on a regular basis that you KNOW, LIKE and TRUST and you refer business to each other ... and use my tip for your next conversation.)

And an example shared was a BNI chapter member who answered that question by saying, "I would like to secure a location to do a series of presentations for my business. Do you have any contacts that have a space I could use?"

The other member answered, "I have several contacts I can speak to and will get back to you within the week."

So, within an hour of the one-to-one, the BNI member contacted her network of people, and reached back out to the member who requested a space...and a location was secured for his presentations and also - these presentations generated MORE CONTACTS and MORE BUSINESS for both BNI members.

There is power in being specific in ASKING how you can help a fellow entrepreneur, and there's power in ANSWERING that person's questions specifically.

And of course, the more you network, the better you get at networking ... and the more you can do to help others succeed in business and life.

On another note, I'm going to start referring to myself as a BNI Ambassador because since I've started talking about BNI in my emails and in social media, several people I know from all over the world are now looking into BNI chapters where they live.

If this is something of interest to you, reach out to me.

And in case you're wondering, I don't get paid any commissions to introduce people to BNI - I talk about it because I know it's value and I know it works!

Something else that works ...

THIS STEP BY STEP SYSTEM

...that helped me improve my relationship with my husband and is also what I'm using to generate an income online while I'm out having one-to-ones or just living my life.

Have an amazing Friday and Happy Weekend!

Your BNI Ambassador and friend, Renee :)
