There’s a saying in marking that goes, If you market to everyone you market to no one.
If Elon would have turned down Joe Rogan then Marijuana users would see him as just another corporate guy...
However…
He went viral all over social media for that and I’m sure he gained 1,000’s of loyal - ride or die customers for anything he sells now.
If you’re an Entrepreneur and you’re walking on egg shells then you’ll have no haters but you’ll also have no loyal customers either.
So how do you build a loyal, ride or die customer basis where they will buy anything that you sell no matter what it is?
Polarizing.
For example, If you don't believe in marijuana use then you wouldn't be on Elon's side and possibly purchase a Tesla.
In you're marketing you've gotta have a polarizing message. If you don't then NOBODY will be magnetically attracted to you.
The business that I'm building right now isn't for everyone and to be honest I'de rather have it that way because I only want to work with people that want to work with me.
