How many personal or business emails do you send per day?

Even if you're not some guru with a massive list, you're still likely sending dozens. If so, you may be letting dozens of opportunities for free traffic slip through your fingers.

I'm not talking about email marketing. I'm talking about leveraging emails you're already sending to get more traffic to specific pages.

And the answer lies in your email signature. It's a space most of us take for granted.

However, it can be a great opportunity to promote whatever your heart desires. Looking to get more affiliates to sell your product? Put a link to your affiliates page in your signature.

Have a new product you want to promote? Put a link to that specific sales page. Sounds like a no-brainer. And although some people are doing this, most of them are doing it wrong.

It's not enough to just have a link in your signature line and hope someone is curious enough to click on it. You must give them a reason to click.

Treat it like a mini sales page. A 2 to 3 line pitch.

For example, if you're trying to get affiliates on-board, write something like this:

“Want to earn a generous commission just by recommending our product?

Click here to learn about our Affiliate Program.”

Offer a benefit followed by a clickable call-to-action. Take a shot at it and let me know how it works.
