A Tale of Two Towns and Missed Opportunity

What I am about to tell you is a true story, which you can look up yourself...

The town of White Oaks, New Mexico - once a growing, bustling gold mining town in the late 1890s and visited by the imfamous outlaw, Billy the Kid - had the opportunity for continued growth and prosperity by allowing new railroads to come through it.

This isn't about just any railroad, mind you.  White Oaks had the opportunity to host the main railroad access through Lincoln County, NM.

In a time when the main source of transportation was by horse and wagon, this was a very big deal.

But White Oaks' business interest groups, motivated by selfish greed, attempted to charge the railroads premium prices for "right of way" passage through their town, even before any tracks were laid.

The White Oaks business interests, knowing that they would host the main rail access through Lincoln County, were sure the railroads would fight over the chance to lay tracks through its town, thus creating a bidding war that they would profit from.

No thought was ever given to the needs and prosperity of the average townsfolk.

Though the White Oaks business interests thought they had the railroads by the balls, they were dead wrong!

The main railroad, instead, ran its tracks 12 miles to the west of White Oaks, through a town called Carrizozo, who had no such greedy motivations.

At the time, sleepy Carrizozo started to prosper as many people left White Oaks and set up camp over in Carrizozo instead, while White Oaks went into decline.

The White Oaks railroad opportunity slipped right through their greedy little fingers.

The lesson here is to never let an opportunity pass you by because of greed, selfishness, fear, doubt, or otherwise. Someone else will always take your place if you are not ready to receive it yourself.

In this day and age, the opportunity I speak of is owning your own online business.  There may be many "tracks" that could lead into your boom town but few, if any, will actually prosper.

Many will see the opportunity but then place self-imposed limitations on themselves, such as "I cant do that" (self-doubt and fear), "it cost too much" (self-greed and fear), "this is a scam" (fear and ignorance), etc, etc...

There is another cost involved here, which is almost always completely ignored.

That very real cost is called "missed opportunity" (the mother of all costs) and watching your dreams fly away into the hands of others.

If you have a dream of making more money, having more time and financial freedom, perhaps someday quitting your job, then NOW is the time to start acting on it.

Don't be a "White Oaks" and watch others fulfill their dreams because of your own personal greed, fears, and doubts.

As the tale of these 2 towns prove, time waits for no one, and you only have one life to live. So make it a good one!

I invite you to watch this presentation to get all the info you need to start making your dreams a reality:
