To date I haven't earned very much money. But everything I've earned has been purely online. I have been at this for awhile and I've learned a lot about the whole earning money online game.

First, let me say this. If you have no idea what you are doing...you will take forever to earn any significant amount of money. The first lesson I ever learned:

PTC sites are great but only in 2 ways. You can earn the money you use to advertise on them and the advertising is a great way to get past just posting on FB or Craigslist. Both of which are great but them along with eBay are way over saturated. That just makes you and your products so much easier to lose in the mix.

My second lesson:

Referrals can make or break whether something is worth your time. Literally. Advertising is great, but if you want to make money using PTC sites and Survey sites that add up to more then the average dollar a day- you need referrals.
