Remember Mad Cow Disease? Well, would you believe me if I told you that an outbreak was reported yet again in Time magazine less than a month ago? With the 24/7 non-stop election coverage we've endured month after month, the media is not reporting many important stories like this. Meat. As a red-blooded American man, there's nothing I love more than a juicy cut hot off the grill. But as a husband and father, I'm concerned about the safety and affordability of the protein I provide for my family. Finally, as someone who's passionate about helping folks stay informed and get prepared, I felt obligated to share these concerns with you. If you enjoy meat on a regular basis, you'll want to hear what I have to say today. Click the link below to learn about what's putting our global meat supply at risk. I'll also share one simple, yet powerful tip that can help you avoid these risks, should the unexpected happen. When it comes to the economics of meat, there are lot of factors in play. You see, meat is a volatile commodity because of what economists call "supply-side risks." The biggest risk threatening the global meat supply? Disease. At the very least, disease can mean shortages, which would cause meat prices to skyrocket. Last year, we saw the price of poultry inflate after extreme outbreaks of avian flu. In fact, a new strain of avian flu was found in turkeys in Indiana January of this year. At the very worst, diseases in the meat industry could make us all very sick. For decades, meat producers have attempted to reduce disease risk with massive amounts of antibiotics. This works in the short-term, but may be making matters worse in the long term. The biggest threat of all is the rise of new antibiotic-resistant strains of diseases. So what's being done about this? Well, the experts have their own ideas. Some have proposed we find alternative sources of protein. Now, I'm not just talking about a simple bowl of beans. I'm not even talking about a block of tofu. Some of these "meat substitutes" are highly-processed, containing chemicals, GMO ingredients and preservatives to make it taste like the real thing. Sound appetizing? Or, how about a Clone Burger? That's right, lab-grown hamburger meat made from beef stem-cells is a reality. Scientists have figured out how to "clone" meat and some sources report that China is starting to mass-produce it. The FDA has even approved the sale of cloned meat in the United States. They say it's perfectly safe, but they say that about the use of antibiotics in meat production too. Who do we trust? Well, when it comes to the health and safety of your family, only you can decide. Me? I'd rather rely on protein sources that make sense to me - not something that sounds like it was made up in a science fiction movie. That's why, whenever possible, I buy directly from farmers and ranchers I know and trust. If you have the space and resources, you can also grow or raise your own protein. In fact, we have a wide variety of heirloom seeds - including protein-rich beans - that can help you get started. Lastly, in case of a serious crisis, it's always good to have a rock-solid backup protein plan. Widespread disease can even affect small farmers and homesteaders. So you need something reliable that's not at risk of global epidemics. Our Mega Protein Kit () was designed for these kinds of extreme situations. This kit gives you: 80 Servings of protein-rich foods, including real beef and chickenA backup that will last up to 25 years in storage No GMOs, MSG or Science-Fiction Foods The reason our Mega Protein Kit is so reliable is due to the preservation methods we use.
