Surprising educational benefit of playing Monopoly

I used to love playing Monopoly because it’s a brutally realistic game

Everybody starts out fairly happy, cash in hand.

Then the bloodshed begins.

The big, terrifying, red hotels go up.

And eventually somebody has to roll the dice and try to make through Boardwalk and Park Place without eating it.

That’s life.

There will come a time when you’re about to roll thedice to try to survive a walk through a dangerous path.

Your mortgage rate goes up.

Your car breaks down.

Kids need money for college.

And if you’re relying on the money you got in your bank right now you’re in trouble.

Most people don’t have enough money saved to survive that big roll of the dice.

And life plows ‘em over like abulldozer.

Why?

Because you’re playing a losing game.

You can’t win.

You can just lose slower.

However, you can play the game in your favor.

Sincerely,
Michael Taylor
